Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) is the biggest and oldest medical school in Georgia who is known to have high quality and affordable medical education. Hostel And Accommodation At Tbilisi State Medical University

TSMU does offer hostel facilities to international students but it is on a first-come first-served basis so it is important to make a reservation early on.

Tbilisi State Medical University Eligibility Criteria

The admission requirements to study the MBBS program at TSMU are simple and in line with the National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations of Indian students. The checklist in question is as basic as follows:

  • Educational Qualification: You should have passed your 10 +2 (or other) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects.

  • Minimum Marks: You must have a minimum 50 percent aggregate in your Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) subjects.

  • NEET Qualification: You have to have passed the NEET exam. A legitimate NEET scorecard is a prerequisite.

  • Age Requirement: You should be at least 17 years on or before December 31st of the year in which you are seeking admission. No limit of age.

The Tbilisi State Medical University has a simplified admission procedure that is accommodating to international students. The university accepts applications between May and August and has one intake in September. It is highly advised to apply early as there are limited seats.

The admission process is done step by step as follows:

  • Step 1: Online Registration and Application: Fill out the online application form on our site or the university portal. Send copies of your academic papers (10 th and 12 th mark sheets), passport and NEET scorecard.

  • Step 3: Application Review: The college examines the application and documents submitted. With their own account, the applicants are able to track their application status.

  • Step 4: Offer Letter: In case of successful assessment, the university sends a letter of admission offer / training contract and a receipt of the payment of tuition fees.

  • Step 5: Fee and confirmation: Learners have to pay half of the first year tuition fee to ensure that they are enrolled. This fee is required prior to offering the visa invitation letter.

  • Step 6: Visa Invitation Letter: The university sends out the official visa invitation letter after payment of fees. Invitation processing time is about 50 days and is either sent out by email or by the personal account.

  • Step 7: Student Visa Application: The students are to obtain a Russian student visa at the closest Russian Embassy or Consulate in their country of origin, having the invitation letter in their hand

  • Step 8: Travel and Enrollment: After obtaining the visa, students are able to make their travel arrangements to Saransk and finalize the enrollment arrangements at the university
