Refund Policy for Study MBBS Abroad

This Refund Policy ("Policy") forms an integral part of and should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. By availing our services and making a payment, you explicitly agree to the terms outlined herein.

1. Scope and Service Classification

Study MBBS ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides educational consultancy services through https://www.studymbbs.education/, including university selection, application processing, documentation review, visa guidance, and related career counseling.

All fees paid to us are categorized as follows:

  • Consultancy / Service Fee: Our professional charges for counseling, documentation, and application processing. This Policy solely governs this fee.
  • Third-Party Fees: Payments for university tuition, hostel accommodation, visa stamping charges, insurance, air tickets, or other external costs. These fees are subject to the policies of the respective third party. The Company assumes no liability for refunds of third-party fees.

2. General Rule: Non-Refundability of Consultancy Fees

Once a student registers and our service process is initiated—defined as the commencement of document review, university communication, or any application work—you acknowledge that we deploy immediate and significant resources. As such, all consultancy/service fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including cancellations due to change of mind, personal circumstances, or securing a seat elsewhere.

This principle is standard across the industry for counseling and processing services, where fees are tied to time and expertise rather than a guaranteed outcome.

3. When a Refund May Be Considered

We have carved out a clear exception to ensure fairness when our core mandate is not fulfilled. A refund of the consultancy fee will be issued under the following specific scenarios:

3.1. Failure to Secure Admission (Due to Company Fault)

If we fail to secure a provisional Admission or Invitation Letter from a university for which we explicitly processed your application, you may be eligible for a full refund, provided:

  • You met all academic eligibility criteria and provided accurate, authentic information.
  • You submitted all required documents within stipulated deadlines.
  • You paid any necessary university application fees.

✓ In this specific instance of a confirmed service failure on our part, 100% of the Consultancy Fee paid will be refunded.

3.2. Duplicate Transactions and Payment Errors

In the event you inadvertently make a duplicate payment for the same service, the excess transaction amount will be refunded after internal verification, with processing typically taking 7–10 business days from the date of confirmation. Payment gateway charges are non-refundable in such cases.

3.3. Force Majeure & Special Circumstances

In exceptional situations such as natural disasters, political unrest in the host country, or severe personal emergencies supported by valid documentation, we may review and offer a partial refund or credit note on a case-by-case basis. Any such resolution is at the sole discretion of the Company.

4. Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be entertained under the following circumstances:

  • Student Withdrawal: You choose voluntarily not to proceed with the admission process after services have commenced.
  • Inaccurate Information: Admission is denied due to false, forged, or misrepresented documents supplied by you.
  • University Rejections: Admission is denied due to your own academic performance, NEET score, or failure to meet the university's independent selection criteria.
  • Visa Denial: Visa is rejected due to prior immigration history, submission of misleading information, or failure to meet the host country’s independent legal requirements.
  • Non-Cooperation: You fail to provide required documents or attend scheduled interviews within communicated deadlines.
  • Mid-Course Withdrawal: Discontinuing the course or dropping out after the admission and visa process has been successfully completed. Additionally, tuition and hostel fees paid directly to universities are not eligible for refund from our end and must be pursued as per the university's own policy.

5. Refund Request Procedure

To initiate a refund for eligible scenarios (as outlined in Section 3), you must follow this systematic process:

  • Submit a written refund request via email to finance@studymbbs.education with your full name, registration ID, and a detailed reason for the claim.
  • Attach all relevant supporting documents (e.g., official university rejection letter clearly stating the reason for denial).
  • All requests must be filed within 15 calendar days from the date of receipt of the official rejection or occurrence of the event.

ℹ Upon receipt of a valid request with complete documentation, we will review it expeditiously and notify you of the decision. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 business days and will be credited to the original payer using the original mode of payment.

6. Legal Compliance & Disclaimer

This Policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with Indian legal principles. Blanket "no-refund" clauses have been held unenforceable by Consumer Forums where the service provider is at fault. Our policy clearly distinguishes between service failure on our part (Section 3.1) and user withdrawal or external factors (Section 4).

We do not guarantee admission or visa approval, and all final decisions rest with the respective universities and government authorities. Our role is to act as a facilitator on a best-effort basis.
